Annie Smith

Chief Executive Officer

With more than 20 years of experience in public health marketing, Annie has a passion for creating memorable campaigns with even more memorable results.

As the previous Senior Director of Creative Strategy for the American Cancer Society and a public relations industry vet, Annie speaks fluent B2C and B2B marketing strategy. She played a key role in launching campaigns with nationally recognized names like the NFL, Chevrolet, and CVS, that ultimately sparked change and inspired action. Her work in public health advertising helped increase cancer screenings in at-risk populations and positively affected behavior change for diabetes and heart disease prevention.

With marketing strategy always top-of-mind, she’s at her best when turning clients’ business goals into marketing insights and action that drives revenue. She loves crafting a clever pun, writing pithy headlines and perfecting marketing plans that pack a punch. She’s Ocozzio’s fearless leader and an in-demand conference speaker, but when she’s not at the office, you may find her hanging out with her husband, two kids, and her dog Molly.

Shelby Wise

Vice President of Accounts

Shelby leads our account management team to ensure our clients’ marketing goals are always met on time. With more than 9 years at Ocozzio and an MBA from the University of South Carolina, Shelby intricately knows the ins-and-outs of the healthcare marketing business.

Zach Swenson

Vice President, Business Development

Zach brings multiple perspectives to his role as Vice President of Business Development from his years spent in the employee benefits marketing space, the direct patient care space and being a traveling rock and roll musician. Each of those experiences relied on Zach’s skill to craft engaging and entertaining stories. Zach spends his days leading the business efforts of Ocozzio. Nights and weekends are devoted to his wife and four young children.

Aaron White

Director of Web

With more than 9 years creating websites professionally, Aaron leads our amazing team of Web Developers at Ocozzio. He has full understanding of how design translates to web, and how to direct users to the content they are searching for with best UI/UX and SEO practices. Outside of work, Aaron has trained and cycled a 100-mile event for charity, photographed several local events and hiked through the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Brad Runnels

Marketing Center Director

Brad is the guy you call when a solution doesn’t exist for your problem domain. Married to an artist, girl dad, full stack guru, there’s not a single question Brad can’t answer. Brad exerts a unique blend of high-level design conceptualization and low-level implementation. Whether he’s hitting the river in a kayak, carving up the singletrack at FATS or enforcing technical standards, Brad is 100% all-in on what’s in front of him.
